Clad 3 Door Credenza — Walnut
Sometimes we fall hard for a good mix of materials. Like beautiful, warm wood meeting the cool, smooth toughness of steel.
The doors are American-sourced solid walnut — not veneer — with the pull milled directly into the wood as a finger groove. No knobs, no handles, nothing applied to the face. You open this cabinet by hooking your fingers into a channel cut from the same board you are looking at.
Japanese craft has a word for why that matters: te-zawari (手触り) — the feel of a thing in the hand, treated as seriously as how it looks. A groove cut into solid timber wears in rather than out. The edge softens where your hand goes, the walnut darkens slightly at that one point over the years, and the cabinet quietly records how it has been used. A screwed-on metal pull can never do that.
How it is made — honestly
-
Doors: solid walnut, American-sourced, with milled finger grooves and soft-close mechanisms on all three.
-
Frame and legs: powder-coated steel in matte black. The steel does the structural work, which is what lets the case sit on legs this thin and still carry a loaded cabinet.
-
Interior: adjustable shelves in all three compartments.
-
The back panel is unfinished. This piece is designed to stand against a wall.
Dimensions
- Overall: 72"W × 18"D × 29"H
- Each cabinet interior: 23"W × 15"D × 18"H
- Leg height / floor clearance: 9"
How it is actually used
At 29 inches high and 72 inches wide it lands exactly where a wall-mounted television wants it: a 55" to 75" screen sits above without crowding, and the 18-inch-deep compartments take a console, a receiver and a sound bar. The 9 inches of open floor beneath is the detail that changes a room — the credenza reads as floating, a robot vacuum passes under it, and the wall stays visible from baseboard up.
A note on media use: the back is solid and unfinished, so plan your cable route before you set it against the wall.
Living with it
An anti-tip kit is included and recommended — at 72 inches wide on 9-inch legs, anchor it.
Clean with a slightly damp, soft cloth. For dirt and fingerprints, use a quality cleaner formulated for wood furniture, then wipe completely dry, following the direction of the grain. Solid walnut warms and deepens with light; that is the wood maturing, not fading.
Some assembly required — the legs attach to the frame with the provided hardware. Guaranteed 5-year warranty.
